Here is the report as submitted by Josh:
Threatened by grey skies and rumors of storms, yesterday's Walk for Sight did not falter. Many smiling faces from different places all came together for one goal; to walk for those who cannot see. Registration seemed to run smoothly as Wheaton had 34 walkers and totaled a whopping $2895. That would average out to every walker giving $85, which is very generous and noble in this economic time. The music was bumping bringing songs from the 70's through today's music and even the Macarena showed her head. The dark sky did not stop the consumption at the hot dog stand or the great men and women that walked down the gold and purple paths that reached approximately 3 miles. The attitude of the event was service and very breath taking for an outside looking in. Seeing all these Lions, friends, and family, some walking with bum legs, some blind, and some being pushed in wheelchairs, all doing their part for that one goal was amazing.
