Wheaton Lions Appointed As Technical Advisor

Wheaton Lion R. Tracy Williams, O.D. has been appointed to the position of a SightFirst Technical Advisor reporting to LCIF (Lions Clubs International Foundation) Sight Programs Department.
​
Lion Tracy’s major responsibilities include (1) Acting as a resource person to Lions clubs and districts within a prescribed geographical area who are interested in conducting a blindness prevention project. (2) Providing professional expertise and guidance to LCIF in studying, identifying and adopting projects related to the SightFirst program and (3) Serving as a liaison between project sites, local lions and Lions Clubs International Foundation.

Lion Tracy was selected for this position due to his working knowledge of the World Health Organization and other multi-national organizations in the field of blindness prevention as well as his familiarity with Lions Clubs International and agreement with the objectives of the SightFirst program.
​
Lion Tracy is the Executive Director of Spectrios Institute for Low Vision in Wheaton as well as serving on the Clinical Staff at Loyola. We are pleased to call Lion Tracy one of Wheaton Lions’ very own.
