The Wheaton Lions hosted Betsy Adamowski, Executive Library Director, Wheaton Public Library, at our meeting this past week. Betsy shared the Library's Annual Report and talked about what is happening at the library. She also talked about the benefit the library provides to the community and recent successes.

DIANE MARTINEZ

The Wheaton Lions hosted Diana Martinez, Director of the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, at our meeting this week. Diana spoke about the Hokusai & Ukiyo-E | The Floating World exhibition coming to the MAC this summer. She shared the different areas of the exhibition and what visitors can experience at #Hokusai2025 at the MAC. Learn more at hokusai2025.org.

ARIANE HALL & DROSTAN HALL

The Wheaton Lions recently hosted Drostan Hall, Director of The Camerata Chamber Orchestra, and Ariane Hall, President of the Camerata Women’s Auxiliary. The orchestra historically has a concert at Wheaton College once a year.

ROB DAUPHINAIS & SCOTT TEWS

Organization: Chicago District Golf Association

Date: April 29, 2025

On April 29, 2025, Rob Dauphinais, Sr. Director of Development, Mike Gilligan, Sr. Managing Director, and Tim Robinson, Boatwright Intern (not pictured below) joined the Wheaton Lion’s Club on behalf of the Chicago District Golf Association Foundation. CDGAF was established in 1944 to carry on charitable and therapeutic services to veterans returning home from conflict. Today, the CDGAF continues to deliver therapeutic recreational and adaptive golf programs to veterans and individuals with special needs throughout Chicagoland. Their presentation discussed programs delivered locally and the 2nd Chicago Adaptive Open being held at Fox Bend G.C. on June 21-22, 2025. The CDGAF makes the world Better Through Golf.
