I was born in Memphis Tennessee, but my family settled in Wheaton when I was small. I went through District 200 schools, and was more noted for sports than academics. After graduating froIllinois Wesleyan, I married Chris Olson (yes, our President's sister). I retired from the L.S. Starrett Company in 2015, and then worked as an aide at Franklin Middle school for 5 year before REALLY retiring. We raised our three children in Warrenville where they, too, attended Wheaton schools. They all graduated college and managed to stay out of jail.  They've given us 7 grandchildren, ranging in age from 2-23 years old.
