FOOD DRIVE
THE WHEATON LIONS WILL ONCE AGAIN HOST A COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE
The Wheaton Lions Club invites all our neighbors in the Wheaton, Carol Stream, Warrenville and Winfield area to join us in the fight against local hunger.
The People’s Resource Center (PRC) food pantry will be the beneficiary of all donations. This project is part of the Wheaton Lions “Focus on Hunger,” one of the six Lions’ primary “Pillars of Service” to serve our local communities. ​Since 1975, PRC has been a steady resource to respond to hunger and poverty in DuPage County. In 2023 PRC distributed over 53,000 shopping carts full of food to DuPage families. Food insecurity continues to be a challenge for many local families.
Danada Jewel: September 5th, 6th and 7th
North Jewel: September 26th, 27th and 28th
Cash donations are also welcome. PRC can buy at significant discounts through the Northern Illinois Food Bank, meaning every dollar donated has purchasing power of $5.

For example, a $20 donation can provide $100 of purchased food or diapers.
